Interconnect Assembly Disan P/N 11250 Description Disan was awarded a contract by the Air Force to design, test, and manufacture a new multi-layer rigid/flex interconnect assembly, Disan P/N 11250. The unit provides the interconnections for approximately 1,500 circuits for the navigation system in the C-130. The new Disan design not only provides the interconnections internally, but also provides shielded paths for many of the circuits. Some shielded circuits consist of multiple leads encased in a flexible shield, which is subsequently encased in a flexible master layer shield. Disan has the software and expertise in house to perform the required design. The terminations (connectors, etc) of the flex circuits are done on rigid multi-layer PCB. Thus, the normal separation problems associated with Flex circuitry are alleviated. Disan has subsequently been awarded many different contracts to produce these units for the Air Force. At this time, Disan is the ONLY approved source for this item.
