Description

The Disan FDIO Keyboard has been designed for the FAA as an interchangeable keyboard to permit electronically upgrading of existing equipment while maintaining the physical characteristics of the existing equipment. The unit consists of 75 keys with discrete characteristics. Some of the major features include:

	Electronically driven by Programmable Logic
	Disan Hall Effect switches employed on all keys
	All moving parts are supported by self lubricating materials
	Engraved and laminated long life keycap legends
	Electro-luminescent Panel (Cool) lighting of keycaps
	Continuously variable Keycap light intensity
	Vertical motion of each key (like a typewriter)
	Light Keycap touch
	Lightweight
	Self contained power supply
	Keycaps are individually color coded by the light source
	High Reliability and long MTBF design
	Built in wrist rest
	Low power consumption

This keyboard may be custom designed for almost any configuration or operational requirements.
