    The U.S. Army awarded a contract to Disan to manufacture a power supply to be used in a missile. The tolerances are extremely tight due to the operational condition of the power supply. Disan utilizes a computer controlled Torroid winder to wind the power transformer and chokes used in the system. The torroid transformer is very complex and requires multi-layer, sector windings with some windings being accomplished as bifilar.

    The power supply is assembled with the other components in a cordwood configuration and potted in a metallic shell. The entire operation is closely monitored and all parameters are documented. All of the operations involved in the manufacture of this item are accomplished in-house at Disan. To our knowledge, Disan is presently the only approved source for this unit.
